" The Quiltie Ladies"
As a group, the Variable Star Quilters have grown together while maintaining their quilting individually. With strong roots in tradition, each proceeds at her own pace down the path to creativity. In every activity each seems to find the job best suited for herself, within her own level of expertise. This diversity is what bonds them together and offers support along with inspiration.

2008 Show Quilt "What's Old is New Again"
Perkiomen Valley Pattern
Some of my time is spent "quilting stiches" in quilts pieced by other people.
Creating a quilt for our clubs show is a challenge, designing a quilt coordinating with the choosen theme.
Every two year we have the "Quilters Tea," where we each make a top secret wall hanging once agin following a theme.
Each of my grandchildren (11) has a crib quilt and than a scrap quilt for their first big bed, a special quilt is waiting for each one when they come of age.
Only three of the eleven grandchildren live in Pennsylvania.
I share volunteer time with a local retirement community and the local Care and Share Thrift stores, where the revenues are given to people in need locally and in foreign counties.
* Bertha is our clubs mater quilter - she hand quilts tops in her home.
